The k2b program allows recent marketing graduates who wish to pursue a marketing career to remain in the state. Prior to the introduction of k2b there were very few if any marketing placement opportunities available and there were certainly no marketing graduate placement programs.

The program is open to University graduates with a marketing major who have completed a business degree in the last 15 months. Preferred subjects are Marketing Communications, Services Marketing, Strategic Management, International Marketing, Electronic Marketing, Marketing Management, Buyer Behaviour, Foundation of Entrepreneurship. All graduates must be living in Tasmania and must not be at the time of applying employed in a Tasmanian ICT Company in a marketing role.

Employment is for 12 months and selected companies interview and make offers to the graduate of their choice.
